The Nigeria Shippers Council (NSC) are due to implement a mandatory Advanced Cargo Declaration Scheme on 17th of November 2015.  The international cargo tracking note will aid with the monitoring of movement of Nigerian cargoes.

Prior to loading cargo for Nigeria, Shippers are expected to obtain an Entry Summary Number (ENS) which must be advised to the shipping line agent and incorporated on the bill of lading.  The ENS will be required by all cargoes destined to and from Nigerian seaports.  Non compliance may result in a penalty issued by the Nigeria Shippers Council.
