Emirates increases air cargo capacity in Nigeria

On hearing that from August, Emirates SkyCargo is to expand its presence in Nigeria by introducing a daily linked A340 service to Abuja and Kano, we at Jonen Shipping were delighted. The airline will offer over 200 tonnes of cargo capacity per week.

According to an article in Air Cargo News, the announcement follows 10 years of successful operations to Lagos, to which the airline flies twice daily. Here at Jonen Shipping, we offer a regular air and sea freight service to Nigeria so it is only natural that we should embrace the news. We do, indeed, provide a first class freight forwarding service to Lagos, Nigeria.

Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer said of the move: “Nigeria is experiencing strong demographic and economic growth. The country is strategic to Emirate’s global expansion, as is Africa.”

Mr. Antinori added: “The new service will also help create new opportunities for business, industry and tourism.”

Jonen Shipping has direct access to every major airline in the world, with IATA membership and DOT security attestation. For our customers, this means we are able to select the most appropriate routing, saving both time and money. We value our customers and are second to none when it comes to offering the best possible service; anything which helps us to do this is welcomed.
